If you've tried upgrading to YouTube Premium directly through the YouTube app in Nepal, you've run into the same problem every Nepali user faces — YouTube requires a US dollar Visa or Mastercard for payment. eSewa, Khalti, and local bank transfers are not accepted on YouTube's official website.
The result is millions of Nepali users watching ads every few minutes, unable to play videos in the background with their screen locked, and missing out on YouTube Music — when all of this is available at a price that's genuinely affordable if you know where to buy.
This guide covers everything — what YouTube Premium includes in 2026, how much it costs in Nepal, the cheapest way to get it, and why RoyalSewa is the fastest and most trusted way to activate it on your existing Gmail account today.
What is YouTube Premium and What Does it Include in 2026?
YouTube Premium is not just about removing ads — in 2026 it's a significantly more complete product than most Nepali users realise. Here's everything you get:
- Ad-Free YouTube — Everywhere: No pre-roll ads, no mid-video ads, no banner ads — on every single video across all of YouTube. Works on phone, laptop, Smart TV, and tablet simultaneously.
- Background Play: Keep YouTube playing when you lock your phone screen or switch to another app. Essential for listening to music, podcasts, lectures, and long-form content without keeping your screen on.
- Offline Downloads: Download any YouTube video directly to your phone to watch without an internet connection — ideal for commutes, travel, and areas with poor signal in Nepal.
- YouTube Music Premium — Included Free: Full access to YouTube Music with no ads, offline listening, and background play. Over 100 million songs available — essentially a free Spotify alternative bundled into your subscription.
- YouTube Kids Premium: Ad-free viewing for children across the YouTube Kids app — included in your subscription at no extra cost.
- Picture-in-Picture on iPhone (2025 update): Watch YouTube in a floating mini-player while using other apps on iPhone — previously only available on Android, now fully available on iOS with Premium.
- AI Features (2026): Premium members get early access to YouTube's new AI features including AI-generated video summaries, smart chapter detection, and conversational search inside videos.
- Works on All Devices Simultaneously: One subscription covers your phone, laptop, Smart TV, and tablet — all ad-free at the same time.

Important — Read Before Buying
There is one important requirement when buying YouTube Premium via the Family Plan invitation method:
Your Gmail must not have been previously used for YouTube Premium through a Family Plan. If you have bought YouTube Premium before from any reseller using a Family Plan invitation, you will need to use a different Gmail address. Your existing Gmail where you watch YouTube daily works perfectly if this is your first time buying Premium.
If you are unsure, contact RoyalSewa on WhatsApp at +977-9824971899 before purchasing — the support team will check and confirm instantly.
YouTube Premium Free vs Premium — Is It Worth It in Nepal?
Here's an honest breakdown so you can decide:
| Feature | Free | Premium (RoyalSewa) |
|---|---|---|
| Ads | Every video | None — ever |
| Background Play | ❌ Screen must stay on | ✅ Plays with screen locked |
| Offline Downloads | ❌ Not available | ✅ Download any video |
| YouTube Music | Ads + limited | ✅ Full Premium included |
| Picture-in-Picture (iPhone) | ❌ Premium only | ✅ Full access |
| AI Features (2026) | Limited | ✅ Early access |
| Price | Free | From Rs. 399/month |
If you use YouTube daily — for music, entertainment, study, or work — YouTube Premium at Rs. 399/month from RoyalSewa is worth it. The background play feature alone changes how you use your phone — you can lock your screen and keep listening without the app staying open.
YouTube Premium vs Spotify — Which Should You Get?
This is one of the most common questions from Nepali buyers choosing their first music streaming subscription:
- Choose YouTube Premium if you already use YouTube heavily for music, podcasts, tutorials, and entertainment — you get ad-free YouTube AND YouTube Music in one subscription at Rs. 399/month
- Choose Spotify Premium if you care specifically about music quality, algorithm-based discovery, curated playlists, and the best pure music listening experience — Spotify's music recommendation engine is significantly better than YouTube Music
Many Nepali users in 2026 use both — YouTube Premium for video content and background play, Spotify for dedicated music listening. Both are available on RoyalSewa at Nepal-friendly prices.

Final Thoughts
YouTube Premium in Nepal has never been more accessible or affordable. At Rs. 399/month from RoyalSewa — activated in minutes on your existing Gmail with no password required — there is genuinely no reason to keep watching ads if you use YouTube daily.
The background play feature alone is transformative for anyone who listens to music, podcasts, or lectures on YouTube — keeping audio playing while your phone screen is locked changes how you use your phone every day.
And with YouTube Music Premium bundled in at no extra cost, you are effectively getting two subscriptions — ad-free YouTube and a complete music streaming service — for Rs. 399/month. That is one of the best value digital subscriptions available in Nepal in 2026.
