Netflix, YouTube Premium and Spotify Premium are the three subscriptions people in Nepal ask us about most. They do different jobs, though, and with prices from Rs. 350 to Rs. 850 a month it's worth knowing which one fits how you actually watch and listen. This guide compares all three using what you pay at RoyalSewa, in rupees, with eSewa or Khalti.
Quick Answer
- Mostly watch films and series? Get Netflix.
- Spend hours on YouTube and want music too? Get YouTube Premium. It includes YouTube Music.
- Music and podcasts are your thing? Get Spotify Premium.

Netflix — Best for Films and Series
Netflix is for watching: films, series, anime and documentaries, in 4K UHD on our plans. It doesn't do music, and it doesn't remove ads from anything else you watch.
- Single Screen (from Rs. 350) — one person, one device streaming at a time.
- Dual Screen (from Rs. 499) — two devices at once. Split between two people on the 12-month plan, it's about Rs. 150 each per month.

YouTube Premium — Best Value If You Watch YouTube
YouTube Premium removes ads from all of YouTube. It also lets videos keep playing in the background with your screen locked, lets you download videos to watch offline, and includes YouTube Music Premium. For many people that means one subscription covers both video and music.
- Family Invitation (from Rs. 399) — we only need your Gmail address and you accept Google's invitation. Your existing account, history and playlists stay as they are.
- Individual (from Rs. 999) — upgrades your account directly with no family group, but needs your Gmail password.

Spotify Premium — Best for Music and Podcasts
Spotify Premium is the pick if music and podcasts matter most to you. You get no ads, unlimited skips, high-quality audio and offline downloads, which are handy for travel and power cuts. We upgrade your existing Spotify account using only your email, so your playlists stay where they are.

Can I Get More Than One?
Yes, and plenty of people do. A common pairing is Netflix + YouTube Premium: films and series from Netflix, and ad-free YouTube plus music from YouTube Premium. On 12-month plans that's Rs. 2,999 + Rs. 2,999 for the year, about Rs. 500 a month for both. If you also want Amazon Prime Video, our Netflix + Amazon Prime combo bundles both in one order.
